Berikut langkah-langkah installasi Axis Print Server 5600 pada Sistem Operasi SCO Unix.
1. Login ke mesin unix sebagai root
2. Setting IP printserver dengan menggunakan ip class yang 1 segment dengan ipmesin unix
root:# arp -s 192.168.0.99 00-40-8c-81-d7-c2
root:# ping 192.168.0.99
64 bytes from 192.168.0.99: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.309 ms
3. Tambahkan IP print server pada file hosts root:# echo "192.168.0.99 axis" >> /etc/hosts
4. Download file axinstall
5. Rubah hak akses file
root:# chmod 777 axinstall
6. Jalankan file axinstall
root: sh axinstall
root: sh axinstall
  7. Lanjutkan step installasi printserver
